Chris Webster is the Founder and President/CEO of WEBSTER ENTERPRISES, the umbrella organization of his professional activities and investments in the arts, real estate, and equity ventures.  Founded in 1972 on the historic Plaza in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico, initial business activity focused on art brokerage and procurement of rare treasures for collectors and museums.  WEBSTER COLLECTION (originally Christopher Webster Art Investments) continues to specialize in American Indian artifacts, pre-Columbian art, vintage Western paintings and photographs, folk art, Spanish Colonial antiques, Knoll International furniture, Asian antiques, and sculpture.  From those origins came the opportunity to set aside certain objects as a collection, Timeless Integrity - The New World Collection, that today showcases representative examples from Mexico, Peru, and the American Southwest, the lands of Spanish exploration during the Age of Discovery. The introduction, promotion, and sale of the art of yesteryear, as well as today, is accomplished through various methods of exposure combined with communication and collaboration with colleagues, collectors, and authorities in both private and institutional environments.  "Defining Excellence in Art," WEBSTER COLLECTION constantly showcases an eclectic mix of art and artifacts as well as a complimentary library from its "On Top of The Plaza" location, a space emulating a Mexican Colonial-era hacienda, while periodically featuring extraordinary shows of contemporary artists' works throughout the year.

Professional real estate brokerage, development, and consulting activities occur within the enterprise, WEBSTER ESTATES. Chris founded Christopher Webster Real Estate in 1976 after becoming licensed as a real estate broker in New Mexico and since inception, continues to produce the most important, often record setting, home and commercial sales in the Santa Fe area market. Subsequently, exclusive affiliate relationships were established with Sotheby's International Realty (SIR) for first, New Mexico in 1984, then Mexico in 1988, and North Carolina in 1989.  Chris served on the SIR Advisory Board from 1989 until 2004 assisting with the growth and development of this dynamic company in expanding the world's premier brand in providing prestigious international property brokerage services. In 1998 Sotheby's Holdings bought Christopher Webster Real Estate as its first acquisition worldwide of an affiliate company.

In 2005 Chris became a managing partner with founders Robert Burnett and Matt Shanaberger of SYNTHESIS REALTY GROUP, a firm coordinating and directing development, marketing, and sales activities of the world's most exclusive residential and resort communities.  SYNTHESIS has most recently assisted Kiawah Development Partners' Christophe Harbour on St. Kitts (Caribbean), the Beall family's Blackberry Farms in Tennessee (USA), MegaTerra's resorts in Chamela Bay and Los Cabos (Mexico), Estrela Santiago located in the Portugese Cape Verde Islands (Africa), and Moru Ootu (French Polynesia).

IChris has an extensive background in real estate including residential, ranch, and commercial brokerage primarily in New Mexico, Hawaii, Mexico, and Western Europe, appraisal and investment analysis experience, as well as resort development marketing expertise. Initiated in 1982, Chris has semi-annually produced the most extensive and analytical reports on the Santa Fe real estate market, Christopher Webster Reports. In addition, Chris is a full member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and its Recreational Development Council (RDC), serving on its Blue Flight, serves as the President of the New Mexico Council of the American Chapter of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) and, since 1976, has been a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the Realtors Association of New Mexico (RANM), and the Santa Fe Association of Realtors (SFAR).

Plaza Productions is an in-house design and production division utilizing the creative talents of the Southwest's best artisans and entrepreneurs producing print, video, multimedia, web design, and special events for individuals, businesses, and institutions.  Also coordinated in the WEBSTER ENTERPRISES Plaza offices are episodic events showcasing artists' works, offering venues for performing artists and writers, hosting public receptions for leaders in the arts and in the community, all the while providing opportunity and space for discussion, reflection, creative sharing, and enlightenment.

Under the auspices of WEBSTER VENTURES, investments in, and advisory services to, a diverse group of companies have been made and provided for several decades. Chris was a Founder in 1982 of the Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company, Inc. and, from its inception until its sale to R.J. Reynolds in 2002, served as an Officer and Director for this dynamic and innovative company that produces Natural American Spirit cigarettes.  Chris was also a Founder and Director of the Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company Foundation that philanthropically supports important Native American and indigenous causes in the Western Hemisphere. In 2006, Chris accepted an advisory consultant position as an Acceleration Partner with Flywheel Ventures, New Mexico's leading venture technology fund, and a seat on the Board of Directors of American Clay, a 100% natural and green interior wall plaster manufacturing company. Chris is a founder and Director of GeneBiology, a North Carolina generic pharmaceutical company based in the Research Triangle Park
